Inaugural roll on the newly-acquired Yashica D. Won him for fifty bucks on Ebay and he’s older than I am, but apparently, he’s still in good working condition. Shot a few photos at my grandparents’ old house in Torrance. It’s officially on the market and soon, it will belong to another family. It feels weird and nostalgic, thinking about all the family gatherings, Christmases that were spent in that house. Now, it’s just an empty husk, a shadow of its former self. The past always feels richer than the present. I think it’s one of the reasons I gravitate towards film over digital.
